Phoenix Financial Planning Firm Launches R Factor Program, Improves Client Services and Relationships

A Phoenix, Ariz.-based financial planning company signed up earlier this year for Robinson & Associates, Inc.’s new R Factor referral generation and practice management program and already is using it to improve client relationships.
 
“We are always looking for ways to better serve our clients and we were especially interested in improving our service considering the way 2008 was starting out,” says Rebecca Gaylor, chief executive officer of Active Money Management, Inc. “We knew we needed new tools to make things better for our clients.”
 
R Factor implementation starts with a simple client survey. Following the survey, Active Money Management launched two new services requested by clients, Gaylor says. The firm now offers a structured debt reduction program and an eMoney service which offers a secure financial Web page where clients can manage their financial goals and information wherever they may happen to be.
 
After the survey, Active Money Management also segmented clients and created specific services for each segment, Gaylor says.
 
“We did what’s called a 360 survey of our clients a few years ago, but it was not as simple and effective as R Factor surveying,” Gaylor says. She expects R Factor will improve the company’s client retention and help it attract additional assets from existing clients.
 
R Factor combines the R Factor Index with best business practices to help advisors and financial services companies gauge, monitor and improve business performance. They can use R Factor to grow their business through increased referrals. R Factor also can help them reduce the loss of high-value clients. Advisors could see a gain in new assets from existing clients. Financial services companies can use R Factor as a tool for predicting future revenue.
