For example, it doesn't cost any more to run an ad that brings in 5 highly qualified prospects or 10. Newspapers don't charge for advertising based on how effective the ad is. You pay the same amount no matter how well the ad works. That means that if you can tweak just one part of your marketing and get a higher response you leveraged your investment.

I want to make it very clear that the three choices I listed are just that, they are choices. We each have a way of doing things. Some people like to change the oil in their car themselves, aka Do It Yourself. Some people like to have the oil changed by a professional, aka Needs an Expert. Finally, some people would just buy a new car. After all, if it needs oil, it will need other things, too, aka Do Nothing Peel The Grapes For Me.

This is not about right or wrong or good or bad. We all work with a different set of beliefs.

Let's start with the Peel The Grapes For Me (PTG). Are you are the kind of person that says, "I'm a financial expert and all of the rest of the stuff should be handled by others. I only do the financial part." We will not work well together. You may want to finish your visit to our site and then go back to working with clients.

PTGs work best with full-service advertising, marketing and media relations firms. They want to have a meeting on Monday and then on Friday have the marketing be magically done.

We don't do that!

We work very closely with our partners. We also don't have a full-time staff sitting around waiting for the next project.

For the Do It Yourself people, my hat is off to you! I like to do new things and learn how to do them. I like the feeling of being self-sufficient and knowing that I can do it myself. It gives you great pride to know that you have learned the secrets to marketing and you can use them at any time for future success.

I reveal it all in these. This is the same advice I would give to clients paying our hourly consulting fee of $197 per hour. The difference is that you have taken the initiative to do it yourself.
